About Us Aquatic Collection is a homegrown business located in the San Francisco Bay Area. Started in 2003 with just a 30 gallon tank selling rose anemones locally, we have grown into an online retailer of top notch corals shipping 200+ corals per week. Our business is now primarily conducted online through our website and through Ebay, with plans to eventually open a retail storefront sometime in the near future.
	Our Tanks Currently we are running two seperate saltwater systems; one holding system and one geared more towards propagation totalling over 900 gallons. Both systems are filtered with large skimmers and large sumps with live rock. For flow, we are utilizing carlson surge devices that we feel provides the best flow/power ratio.

	Lighting All of our corals are kept under 20000K bulbs. We are using both 250 watt and 400 watt metal halide lighting without supplemental actinic bulbs. We firmly believe high color temperature bulbs will produce the best coloration for most corals in captivity.

Pictures

We are currently using a high megapixel digital SLR camera on all our pictures. Photoshop is only used for cropping and resizing pictures. Due to the nature of purchasing corals online, the coloration of the coral may appear slightly different from the picture.

Some factors that contributes to coloration shifts

Different lighting and color temperature bulbs.
Different monitor settings.
Our pictures are taking from the top view and not the side like how it is seen in a traditional aquarium.
Different water parameters.
Stress from shipping
Viewing the animal from different angles.
