Shipping and Handling Costs

Shipping is free with orders over $150. When your subtotal is $150 or more, you will automatically receive free shipping when you checkout. All orders are subjected to a box and handling fee of $7.99. If your order is less than $150, you will be charged a low shipping fee of $27. Please refer to the chart below for our shipping rates.

We only ship from Monday through Thursday. Currently, we will only ship within the contiguous 48 states.

All orders will be shipped with a Styrofoam lined box. Each coral will be individually wrapped and triple bagged with 3 mil poly bags. All empty space is filled with Styrofoam to prevent the corals from moving. Heat or cold packs are used when necessary.

Order Ship Date

All orders will be shipped out the next available shipping day. We will not be able to hold any orders. We are sorry for this inconvenience but we are limited on space, and because our corals are first come first serve it will make things more fair for everyone. If for any reason you are not ready to receive your shipment we recommend holding off on your order until you are ready.

For all orders made before 1:00PM PST, orders will be shipped the same day.

All orders are shipped priority overnight. Orders will arrive before 10:30AM, given that you are located in or near a large city. It is always wise to track your package to anticipate the delivery time.

Signature Release

Our packages DO require a signature release, FedEx will not leave the package without an adult signature. We can remove the signature release if you like; however, packages without a signature release will void any live arrive guarantees. If you would like us to remove the signature release, let us know in the comments section when you checkout. Please see our live arrival guarantee page for more details.

FedEx Hold at Location

With FedEx, you can have your package held at a local FedEx location until you pick it up. This option is actually preferred because the corals will be kept inside, away from any potentially damaging weather conditions. Your coral will still be covered by our live arrival guarantee if you use this option; however, we will require that your order is picked up before 10:30am, and contact us within 3 hours after the pick up time if a problem arises.

To find a local FedEx Hold at Location, please visit the find FedEx Locations page. NOTE: your package can only be held at FedEx locations that offer the Express(hold at location) service, please be sure the address you provide can provide this service.

If you would like to use FedEx Hold at Location option, please let us know in the comment section when you checkout or by contacting us after you complete your order.

Shipping in Extreme Weather Conditions

If you are experiencing extreme weather conditions (below 45 or above 85 degrees), we will require your order to be shipped and picked up at your local FedEx Hold at Location(please see above for details) to be eligible for our live arrival guarantees. This method will prevent large temperature shifts between the transit time from the FedEx facility and to your home.

Weather/Mechanical Delays

If you are having severe adverse weather in your area that may delay shipping, it is your responsibility to let us know. FedEx will not reimburse shipping fees for weather delays or mechanical delays. Any shipping delays void all of our guarantees.

FedEx Delayed Packages

In the case of that your package was delayed (not caused by weather or mechanical failure) or severely damaged due to FedEx's negligence, you must comply with these terms and conditions to receive any compensation:

  1. Contact us via email by 9:00PM if you have not received your package; make sure to include the following information:
    • Confirmation number
    • Tracking number
    • A phone number where you can be reached.
  2. Accept the package no matter what condition it is in when it arrives.
  3. Keep all the contents of the package.
    • Do not throw anything away.
    • Open the box to check if for any survivors.
    • Only save those animals that you are 100% sure that they will make it; otherwise, leave them in the original packaging. You will not receive credit on any pieces that are missing.
  4. Provide a follow up email within 12 hours after you received the package, make sure to include your confirmation number, tracking number, and contact information.

You will be given back full credit, including all shipping and handling charges on your next purchase. All credit will expire after 30 days.
