Zebrasoma rostratum
Reef Safe
The Black Longnose Tang, also known as the Black Longnose Surgeonfish, features a sleek, dark body with a distinctive elongated snout. Its body is predominantly black or dark gray, with a streamlined shape that contributes to its elegant appearance. This tang is an effective algae grazer and is generally considered reef safe. It may exhibit mild territorial behavior, particularly towards other tangs, so providing ample swimming space and live rock for grazing is important. Ideal for well-established aquariums, the Black Longnose Tang adds a unique and striking presence to medium to large reef tanks.
These fish are for saltwater aquariums only.
