Chaetodontoplus septentrionalis
Not Reef Safe
The Blue Line Angelfish is a striking marine species that transitions from a juvenile stage of black bodies with electric blue stripes and yellow highlights to adults with tan bases and vivid horizontal blue lines. Best kept in large, stable aquariums of 180 gallons or more with live rock and peaceful companions, it may nip at corals and invertebrates but also helps control algae. A varied diet of chopped seafood, high-quality pellets, marine algae, and sponge-based foods supports its health, with captive-bred specimens offering added resilience and eco-friendliness, making them a rewarding choice for dedicated aquarists.
These fish are for saltwater aquariums only.
Measurements are measured from the tip of the head to end of the tail.
