The Blue Velvet Damselfish is a striking marine fish with electric blue markings on a dark body and a bold white stripe. As it ages, its colors may fade to darker tones, losing some of its initial vibrancy. This small but feisty species does best in tanks of 30 gallons or more and can be territorial, especially toward other fish of similar size or appearance. It requires stable water conditions to avoid health issues and should be offered a varied diet of meaty foods, herbivore blends, and flakes to stay healthy and active. Despite its aggressive nature, it adds personality and contrast to well-maintained saltwater setups.
