Nassarius snails are also known as Dog Whelks. They are peaceful, reef compatible, and good for saltwater beginners. They can grow up to 3/4 inch (2 cm) in size and live for two years or more. They are also known as Zombie Snails because they rise from the sand to eat food when they smell it. Nassarius snails eat algae, shrimp, garlic, and mussels. They should be acclimated slowly using a drip system.
