The Chainlink Eel, also known as the Chain Moray Eel, is a fascinating marine eel known for its distinctive chain-like pattern of interlocking black and white markings across its body. This striking appearance makes it a unique and captivating addition to marine aquariums. While generally reef safe, the Chainlink Eel is a carnivore and may pose a threat to smaller fish, shrimp, and other invertebrates. It thrives in aquariums with ample rockwork and hiding spots, where it can exhibit its natural behaviors. Due to its predatory nature and need for a secure environment, it is best suited for larger, well-established tanks and aquarists with some experience.
