Fireball Angelfish
Fireball Angelfish
Centropyge aurantonotus
Reef Safe with Caution
The Fireball Angelfish, also known as the Flameback Pygmy Angelfish, is a vibrant marine fish that features a brilliant orange-red body with a striking blue dorsal area and tail fin. This stunning coloration makes it a popular choice among marine aquarists. While the Fireball Angelfish is generally hardy and adaptable, it is considered reef safe with caution, as it may nip at soft corals and small invertebrates if not sufficiently fed. Providing a varied diet that includes plenty of algae, along with ample live rock for grazing and hiding, can help minimize this behavior. The Fireball Angelfish is an active and energetic swimmer, best suited for tanks with plenty of hiding spots and a stable environment, making it an eye-catching and manageable addition for aquarists with moderate experience.
