The Fowleri Tang, also known as the Fowler's Tang or the Orange-Shouldered Tang, is notable for its elegant appearance and striking coloration. It features a deep blue to gray body with bright orange or yellow highlights on its shoulders and fins, and a distinctive white or pale blue spot near the base of its tail. This tang is an efficient algae grazer and is generally considered reef safe, though it can exhibit mild territorial behavior, especially towards other tangs. It thrives in well-established aquariums with ample live rock for grazing and plenty of swimming space, making it a beautiful and functional addition to large reef tanks.
