Reef Safe with Caution
The Klein Butterflyfish, also known as the Brown Butterflyfish or Sunburst Butterflyfish, is a hardy and adaptable marine fish admired for its subtle yet attractive coloration. It has a pale yellow to brown body, often with a gradient effect, and faint vertical stripes, along with a prominent black stripe through the eye and a lighter band running behind the head. This butterflyfish is relatively easy to care for, making it a popular choice for marine aquariums. However, it is considered reef safe with caution, as it may occasionally nip at soft corals, anemones, and other invertebrates, particularly if not well-fed. To minimize such behavior, provide a varied diet and plenty of hiding spots within the tank. The Klein Butterflyfish thrives in well-established aquariums with ample space and stable water conditions, making it a good addition for aquarists with moderate experience.
These fish are for saltwater aquariums only.
