Koran Angelfish
Koran Angelfish
Pomacanthus semicirculatus
Not Reef Safe
The Koran Angel, also known as the Semicircle Angelfish, is a strikingly beautiful fish noted for its dramatic transformation from juvenile to adult. Juveniles display a vibrant blue and white semicircle pattern, while adults develop a more subdued yet elegant coloration of blue-green with intricate yellow and blue markings. Native to the Indo-Pacific region, the Koran Angel is a hardy species that can thrive in a large, well-maintained aquarium. However, it is not considered reef safe due to its tendency to nip at corals and other invertebrates. This angelfish requires a spacious tank with plenty of hiding spots and live rock for grazing. Its captivating beauty and dynamic personality make the Koran Angel a standout species, best suited for a fish-only or carefully monitored tank setup.
