Exallias brevis
Reef Safe
The Leopard Blenny is a uniquely patterned fish with a long dorsal fin, tentacles above its eyes, and a body marked with white, orange, and brown spots. It has a quirky movement style, often appearing to hop along the substrate, and requires a tank with ample rockwork for hiding and space for swimming. This species is not reef-safe, as it primarily feeds on live stony coral polyps using specialized teeth, though it may also graze on algae. While some may accept prepared foods like chopped seafood or frozen shrimp, most require expert care and a steady supply of coral, making them best suited for advanced aquarists.
These fish are for saltwater aquariums only.
Due to variations within species, your item may not look identical to the image.
Measurements are measured from the tip of the head to end of the tail.
