While generally hardy, it is considered reef safe with caution, as it may occasionally nip at soft corals and small invertebrates, particularly if not adequately fed. Providing a varied diet rich in algae and offering ample live rock for grazing and hiding can help mitigate such behavior. The Six Bar Angelfish thrives in tanks with plenty of hiding spots and a stable environment, making it a beautiful and manageable addition for aquarists with moderate to advanced experience.
