The Sunshine Chromis (Chromis insolata), often referred to as the Sunshine Fish, Purple & Yellow Chromis, or Olive Chromis, is a peaceful and vibrant damselfish native to the tropical Western Atlantic. Its stunning coloration features a bright yellow top fading into soft lavender midbody, finishing with a pearlescent white underside—making it a standout in any marine display.

This species is known for its resilience and adaptability, thriving in both reef and fish-only aquariums. When kept in small groups with plenty of swimming space, the Sunshine Chromis adds a lively, colorful dynamic to the upper levels of the tank. Its calm demeanor makes it a great community fish and an excellent choice for aquarists of all experience levels.

Sunshine Chromis are omnivorous and benefit from a diverse diet that includes meaty fare, quality herbivore flakes, and nutrient-rich frozen foods. Incorporating vitamin-enriched options helps maintain their vivid colors and overall health.
