The Tiger Queen Anthias, scientifically known as Pseudanthias lori, is a dazzling fish renowned for its vibrant colors and striking patterns. Sporting hues of orange, pink, and purple, this species adds a regal presence to any marine aquarium. However, despite its beauty, the Tiger Queen Anthias is not considered reef safe. In the wild, it primarily inhabits deep reef slopes and outer reef areas, where it forms large schools and feeds on zooplankton. In captivity, this species may display aggressive behavior towards smaller or similarly colored tankmates, making it unsuitable for reef environments with delicate corals and invertebrates. Nevertheless, in a well-maintained fish-only or predatory reef setup, the Tiger Queen Anthias can thrive, showcasing its captivating beauty and commanding presence.
