Timor Wrasse
Timor Wrasse
Halichoeres timorensis
Reef Safe With Caution
The Timor Wrasse (Halichoeres timorensis) is a vibrant and active fish, displaying a stunning array of colors including shades of green, yellow, and blue, with distinctive horizontal lines running along its body. This species is a curious and energetic swimmer, frequently darting through rockwork and sand, making it a lively addition to any marine aquarium. While generally peaceful, caution is recommended in reef tanks, as it may pick at small invertebrates, snails, and crustaceans. It thrives in tanks with ample sand beds and hiding places where it can burrow at night. The Timor Wrasse is hardy but requires a well-maintained tank, making it a suitable option for intermediate aquarists.
