The Blackfoot Trochus Snail, also called Turban Snail, is liked by many aquarist because it is easy to care for and also cleans up the aquarium by eating algae, cyanobacteria, and diatoms on rocks. Generally you should keep one trochus for every 2-3 gallons of water in the tank. Like other invertebrates, the trochus is sensitive to high nitrate levels and cannot handle copper-based medication.
