The Blue/Red Tuxedo Urchin is a great scavenger and addition to the clean up crew in an aquarium. Their round bodies are covered in hundreds of blue/black or red/black sharp spines that can puncture skin. This nocturnal creature hides between or under rocks during the day and comes out to graze on algae at night. Though generally solitary, several can be kept in an aquarium at a time if there are enough food and shelter. If algae in the tank is low, they should be fed dried seaweed.
