Lemonpeel Hybrid Angelfish
Lemonpeel Hybrid Angelfish
Centropyge flavissima x Centropyge vroliki
Reef Safe with Caution
The Lemon Peel Hybrid Angelfish is a stunning marine fish resulting from the cross between the Lemon Peel Angelfish (Centropyge flavissima) and the Half Black Angelfish (Centropyge vroliki). This hybrid displays a vibrant yellow body with distinctive black markings on the fins and a prominent black spot near the base of the dorsal fin, blending the striking features of both parent species. Known for its eye-catching coloration and relatively hardy nature, the Lemon Peel Hybrid Angelfish is a popular choice for reef aquariums. Despite its hardiness, it is considered reef safe with caution, as it may occasionally nip at soft corals and small invertebrates if not adequately fed. To minimize such behavior, provide a varied diet rich in algae and ample live rock for grazing and hiding. This hybrid thrives in tanks with plenty of hiding spots and a stable environment, making it a beautiful and manageable addition for aquarists with moderate experience.
