Xanthotis Angelfish
Xanthotis Angelfish
Apolemichthys xanthotis
Reef Safe with Caution
The Xanthotis Angelfish, also known as the Red-cheeked Angelfish, features a striking combination of dark blue to black body with a prominent yellow patch near its gill covers, giving it its signature red-cheeked appearance. This angelfish is known for its beauty and relatively peaceful demeanor, but it's considered reef safe with caution, as it may nip at soft corals, sponges, or invertebrates. It thrives in well-established aquariums with plenty of live rock for grazing and hiding. Suitable for moderately experienced aquarists, the Xanthotis Angelfish makes an attractive addition to large fish-only or carefully monitored reef tanks.
These fish are for saltwater aquariums only.
