The African Aurora Goby, is a peaceful and fascinating marine species best known for its symbiotic relationship with certain types of pistol shrimp. This goby displays a shimmering silver body accented by pink bands and a yellow tail dotted with vibrant pink and blue-ringed spots. It thrives in tanks of 10 gallons or more, where ample swimming space, a sandy substrate for burrowing, and scattered coral rubble are essential for its natural behavior. While generally docile toward other tankmates, it may become territorial with members of its own species unless they are a bonded pair. Due to its tendency to leap, a tightly secured lid is a must. The African Aurora Goby primarily feeds on suspended particles in the water column but will also graze along the substrate.
These fish are for saltwater aquariums only.
