The Atlantic Blue Tang, also known as the Blue Surgeonfish, is celebrated for its vibrant blue coloration and striking yellow tail. It features a bold, deep blue body with a distinctive yellow caudal fin and a black 'scalpel' on each side of its tail, used for defense. This tang is a hardy algae grazer and is generally reef safe, although it can display territorial behavior, particularly toward other tangs. It thrives in well-established aquariums with ample live rock for grazing and plenty of swimming space. Ideal for medium to large reef tanks, the Atlantic Blue Tang adds both beauty and functionality to marine setups.
