Pomacanthus chrysurus
Not Reef Safe
The Chrysurus Angelfish is a rarely available species recognized by its dark patterned body, contrasting white bands, brilliant blue facial markings, and yellow-toned tail. Requiring an established aquarium of at least 220 gallons, it should be provided with ample swimming room, live rock for grazing, and plenty of sheltered areas. This species is best kept with caution in reef systems, as it may pick at corals, clam mantles, and other sessile invertebrates. A diverse diet of Spirulina, marine algae, sponge-based angelfish preparations, mysis shrimp, and other quality meaty foods will help support its health and coloration. With its impressive markings and limited availability, the Chrysurus Angelfish makes a standout addition for experienced marine aquarists.
These fish are for saltwater aquariums only.
