Johnrandallia nigrirostris

Not Reef Safe

The Barberfish Butterflyfish (Johnrandallia nigrirostris), also known as the Blacknosed Butterflyfish, is a striking yellow species accented with black bands across the dorsal base, forehead, snout, and a mask-like stripe around the eyes. Reaching up to 8" in length, this butterflyfish thrives in well-established aquariums of at least 80 gallons with ample swimming space and abundant rockwork for grazing and hiding. The Barberfish may nip at tube worms, crustaceans, and corals. Offer a varied diet of meaty items like fortified brine and mysis shrimp, red or black worms, and herbivore blends is important. Peaceful by nature, they can be housed in groups when introduced together and may coexist with slightly aggressive tank mates if added first.

These fish are for saltwater aquariums only.

Due to variations within species, your item may not look identical to the image.
