Dendrochirus brachypterus
Reef Safe With Caution
The Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish is a compact predator with bold red, white, and black stripes and distinctive, flowing fins that give it a “fuzzy” appearance. Despite its small size, it boasts tall, fan-like dorsal spines that are venomous and should be approached with caution. Typically shy at first, it will spend time hiding during acclimation but soon becomes an engaging tank inhabitant. Best kept in aquariums of 50 gallons or more with plenty of hiding spots. The Fuzzy Dwarf Lionfish is a carnivorous species and thrives on a meaty diet of live or frozen seafood, and with patience, can be weaned onto prepared foods.
These fish are for saltwater aquariums only.
Due to variations within species, your item may not look identical to the image.
Measurements are measured from the tip of the dorsal fin to end of the pelvic/anal Fin.
Approximate Purchase Size: Under 3 inches
