Apolemichthys griffisi
Reef Safe With Caution
The Griffis Angelfish is prized for its striking appearance and adaptability in aquariums. Juveniles display a white body accented by a bold black stripe across the upper half, which deepens in color as they grow, eventually developing a defining white band. Reaching up to 10 inches in length, this angelfish thrives in spacious environments of at least 100 gallons, with abundant live rock and hiding spots. While generally considered one of the more reef-safe large angelfish, they can become territorial once established but typically leave sessile invertebrates alone. Like many angelfish, males and females appear identical due to their hermaphroditic nature. Their diet should be varied, incorporating marine algae, Spirulina, quality angelfish formulas, mysis, frozen shrimp, and other meaty foods to ensure proper nutrition.
These fish are for saltwater aquariums only.
Due to variations within species, your item may not look identical to the image.
Measurements are measured from the tip of the head to end of the tail.
