The Maculiceps Tang, also known as the Spotted Tang or the Black-Spotted Tang, features a distinctive coloration with a dark brown to black body adorned with numerous small white or yellow spots. Its elegant appearance is complemented by a streamlined body and vibrant coloration. This tang is an excellent algae grazer and is generally considered reef safe, though it may exhibit mild territorial behavior, particularly towards other tangs. It thrives in well-established aquariums with ample live rock for grazing and sufficient swimming space. The Maculiceps Tang is a visually striking addition to medium to large reef tanks, combining beauty with functionality.
