Pomacanthus maculosus × chrysurus
Not Reef Safe
The Maculosus x Chrysurus Hybrid Angelfish is a highly unusual collector fish resulting from the pairing of two distinctive Pomacanthus species. Its appearance can vary considerably from fish to fish, with traits from both parents blending into patterns and colors that continue to evolve with age. This large angelfish requires a roomy, established system with open swimming areas and substantial rockwork for shelter and exploration. It may become increasingly assertive as it matures and is considered reef safe with caution, since corals, clams, and other invertebrates may be sampled. Feed a broad selection of sponge-rich preparations, algae-based foods, mysis, and other marine proteins to provide balanced nutrition. Because no two specimens develop exactly alike, this rare hybrid offers collectors the opportunity to keep a truly individual showpiece.
These fish are for saltwater aquariums only.
Measurements are measured from the tip of the head to end of the tail.
Approximate Purchase Size: 7 inches (Eating frozen brine/mysis shrimp)
