The McCosker’s Flasher Wrasse (Paracheilinus mccoskeri) is a vibrant and highly active fish, admired for its stunning coloration and elaborate fin displays, especially during courtship or when excited. Males typically show off radiant hues of red, orange, and yellow with bright blue streaks along their elongated dorsal fins. As a peaceful, reef-safe species, the McCosker’s Flasher Wrasse poses no threat to corals or invertebrates, making it a great addition to reef tanks. It thrives in aquariums with plenty of live rock for hiding and foraging, and it appreciates a well-maintained environment with stable water conditions. Hardy and easy to care for, this wrasse is an excellent choice for both beginner and experienced aquarists, adding a burst of color and dynamic movement to any reef setup.
