The Gold Rim Hybrid Tang (Acanthurus nigricans x ?) is a rare and visually striking surgeonfish with a deep brown to purplish body, a signature white facial patch, and vibrant accents of yellow and blue along the fins and tail. Each individual varies slightly, offering aquarists a unique and captivating specimen. While generally peaceful with other fish, it can be aggressive toward similar tangs and should be housed in a 125-gallon or larger aquarium with plenty of swimming space. A diet rich in marine-based seaweed and algae, supplemented with occasional meaty foods, is essential to support its immune system, coloration, and overall health, making this hybrid an ideal choice for experienced hobbyists seeking a standout addition to their reef tank.
