Thalassoma lucasanum
Reef Safe With Caution
The Paddlefin Wrasse (Thalassoma lucasanum) is a stunning fish known for its vibrant coloration and unique elongated fins that resemble paddles, adding a graceful touch to any aquarium. This species showcases a beautiful array of colors, including bright greens and yellows, often accentuated with striking blue patterns. While it is an active swimmer and an engaging presence in the tank, caution is advised in reef environments, as it may nip at small invertebrates and disturb corals. The Paddlefin Wrasse thrives in tanks with ample swimming space and rockwork for hiding and exploring. Although relatively hardy, it is best suited for intermediate aquarists who can provide a well-maintained habitat for this lively and visually appealing fish.
These fish are for saltwater aquariums only.
