Reef Safe With Caution
The Panther Grouper is a striking predatory fish that can reach up to 28 inches in length. Its tall, laterally compressed body, small head, and pronounced snout give it a distinctive humpback silhouette, while white colored skin is dotted with irregular black spots across the body and fins. Ample swimming room and abundant live rock is essential for the Panther Grouper. Given its size and propensity to leap, a secure lid and powerful filtration are crucial. Naturally timid at first, it may become aggressive toward smaller fish or invertebrates if stressed. As a voracious carnivore, the Panther Grouper requires frequent feedings of meaty fare such as krill, shrimp, and small fish to thrive in a well-maintained large aquarium.
These fish are for saltwater aquariums only.
