Halichoeres rubricephalus
Reef Safe with Caution
The Red Head Wrasse, scientifically known as Halichoeres rubricephalus, is an eye-catching species with a vibrant red head that gradually transitions into a yellowish-green body adorned with subtle blue markings. This peaceful yet active wrasse is generally considered reef safe but should be monitored, as it may occasionally nip at small invertebrates like shrimp or crabs. The Red Head Wrasse thrives in well-established aquariums with sandy substrates for burrowing and plenty of live rock for foraging and hiding. Its striking coloration and dynamic behavior make it an appealing addition to both reef and fish-only marine tanks.
These fish are for saltwater aquariums only.
Due to variations within species, your item may not look identical to the image.
Measurements are measured from the tip of the head to end of the tail.
