The Titan Batfish, also known as the Orbiculated Batfish is a distinctive and elegant species recognized for its circular body shape, broad fins, and reddish-brown coloration. Capable of growing up to 22 inches from top to bottom fin, it makes a dramatic statement in large marine aquariums. This calm, resilient fish thrives in tanks of at least 300 gallons that offer ample depth and open swimming space. While generally peaceful it tends to feed on sessile invertebrates like corals and anemones. Early feeding may require live saltwater shrimp to spark its appetite, but a long-term diet should include a variety of protein-rich options such as shrimp, scallops, vitamin-enriched brine, and frozen herbivore blends, ideally fed several times per day. When housed in the right environment, the Titan Batfish can be a striking and rewarding addition to a large, well-maintained fish-only system.
