The Zebra Tang is a rare and captivating surgeonfish that sparks excitement whenever it becomes available in the aquarium trade. Unlike many of its larger relatives, the Zebra Tang remains relatively compact, reaching a maximum size of around 5 inches, making it well-suited for modestly sized reef tanks. An active grazer by nature, it thrives on a diet rich in marine algae, but benefits from the addition of protein-rich foods like mysis shrimp to maintain energy and coloration.
